Lake Tahoe

This trip really couldn't be going more smoothy. While a bit long, the flight was easy. Zing's such a good traveler; nothing fazes him. The airport/rental car, hotel, and trial site are all within a five minute drive. Since my goal is always to see something interesting while treking around the US for dog-shows, my first stop was Lake Tahoe. Zing got to catch some snow balls and whine pathetically at the lake. Sorry buddy, but you're not swimming in freezing water.

Zing had one bar in the warm-up STD class. I watched the video and he slipped on the surface. The rest of the run went well and he was thrilled to finally get to play. While walking T2B, I was a little concerned about getting a tight turn on the wrap. I really wanted that bye and we gave it our best shot... and won. :)

Today's runs were nice, solid runs. Since we're already guaranteed a spot in Challengers, pushing for the best time possible wouldn't be the best game plan. (That's not to say that they were slow or really conservative runs. They just weren't full-out-go-for-broke runs.) After two rounds, Zing's currently sitting in 5th.

Zing's cousin, Cait, is also having a rockin' weekend. She's so awesomely fast, I love watching her runs! Zing's littermate, Brinkley, is also competing here this weekend. He's in 15th place after round two. It would be so awesome if all three have clean runs in Hybrid!
